FONTEDIT can display several font files at the same time, each in its own window.
• | Click on the bar at the top of a window to show it maximized or |
• | to show it minimized or |
• | to show it a window which may be resized by dragging the sizing handles with the mouse. |
The Window menu includes a list of the windows which are currently open. The active ("on top") window is indicated by a tick icon. Clicking on a window name in the list brings it to the top.
'Drag-and-drop' may be used to reposition a minimized or re-sizable window manually. To arrange all the windows automatically, select one of these options from the Window menu:
• | Cascade
Large, overlapping windows. |
• | Tile
Smaller windows, packed to fit the space exactly. |
• | Minimize All
Only shows icons (vestigial title-bars) of each window. |
• | Maximize All
All windows expanded to fill the whole of the FONTEDIT window and stacked so that only the active font's window is on view. |
• | Arrange Icons
Places window icons tidily at the foot of the FONTEDIT window. |
To close a window
• | Click on the bar at the top of the window, or |
• | Select Close from the window's File menu. |
