The example shows how the two dimensional barcode DataMatrix is used in a Stock Control application. DataMatrix, like PDF417, provides very dense encoding of large amounts of free text. Typically DataMatrix is scanned using a CCD camera and because of its design, orientation is not important. This makes it suitable for labels in loose part stock control applications.
All the text on the part label is encoded in the DataMatrix symbol. The barcode is produced in a location relative to the encoded field or page corners.
